And now ... social cataloguing
I think I have nailed social bookmarking (see my Boodkmarks), and am now investigating social cataloguing. Sounds intriguing.
Social bookmarking
Am now finding out about social bookmarking. Phil Bradley recommended del.icio.us, so this must be a good choice. Connotea seems to be targeted at clinicians and scientists. Having looked at the other social bookmarking sites, I can't help feeling that all this Web 2.0 "stuff" has the potential to be a real thief of time; it's so easy to get side-tracked into reading something you see on the webpage. I wonder how long it will take for the bosses to realise this and block access to these sites from work computers? Anyway, I will have a go at joining (if that's the work) del.icio.us. More later.
PS Have just realised that I am already using inconsistent labels. Will this be a problem?

First thoughts for the Web 2.0 day
At the end of the Web 2.0 event on Thursday I hope I will understand what Web 2.0 is all about. If it provides me with a means of communicating with my library users more easily I will be very happy. I am open to all and any ideas.
